From file to subtitles
- Open your media. Add files or a folder. LocalSubs processes them one at a time.
- Review the result. Edit the words and timing, or rebuild the subtitle layout.
- Save beside your video. Export SRT, WebVTT or plain text. Existing files are kept safe.
Install once. Work offline.
Open the DMG and drag LocalSubs into Applications. On first launch, it prepares the included model and checks how quickly your Mac transcribes.
No account or subscription. No cloud transcription. Supports MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and common audio formats.
Leave around 2 GB free for the app and prepared model, plus temporary space for audio. Automatic subtitles can make mistakes; review them before sharing.
